You made me cry.

Thanks for bringing beautiful memories from WRTC1990 and WRTC2006.

God gave me the gift to attend all WRTCs. I'm sure that all days in all
WRTCs are going to be in my memory for the rest of my life.

This is way I love Ham Radio.

Dear OM Ohms,

    On the occasion of the second anniversary of WRTC2006 (the best one
yet!!!), I wanted to write to you, and to Thomas, Cesar and all our PY
brothers and sisters who hosted us so very nicely on Santa Catarina
Island.

 

    Many, if not most, of us - from between nearby Argentina and Uruguay
and as far away as Thailand - arrived there two years ago today, July
5th.

 

    I hope you all still take deserved pride in what you accomplished,
and I hope we will next meet at WRTC 2010.

 

   Meanwhile, in a flashback to WRTC 1990 - but first, some background:
My task for the past year has been to scan all the decades of 35mm color
slides (transparencies) onto my computer hard drive (with backups, of
course).  Among those several thousand photos, I found two that are
attached to this e-mail.

 

    These photos were taken by me at a WRTC 1990 picnic event near
Vancouver, WA, in July, 1990.   One shows Ohms and his son with
Guillermo, EA9EO.  The other shows Ohms (and Ivan, IK2DVG) with
DX-legend Nose, KH6IJ.  Several from that era are now silent keys, but
live on in our memories - often made vivid by photos such as these. 

 

    Enjoy!

 

    Again, thank you, your PY-brethren and your great country for a
wonderful WRTC event for which we gathered just two short years ago.
